Europe has a lot to offer a person who loves to travel, from the amazing beaches to the famous landmarks, amazing architecture, and lots of amazing food. With so many good places to choose from it can be a daunting task.

If you are a real foodie you will be interested to see the best places in Europe for food lovers. To start your research, here are seven tips to help you get started.

Prague, Czech Republic

There is so much to see in Prague, whether I am looking at Prague Castle, the beauty of the Old Town, or the National Museum.

Prague is a top destination for food lovers, with plenty of mouth-watering delicacies to try. One of Koleno’s most popular dishes, is pork chops that are roasted with black beer and herbs, and after roasting for several hours the meat is delicious. Another popular traditional brother is Czech duck roaster, one-third of the ducks are usually served with potato porridge and cabbage, and a sweet sauce.

Vegetarian eater should not be left in Prague, make sure you try the bramborak flavor, (aka the potato pancake), you will be blown away by the delicious spices! Want a special treat to go with your Czech beer? You will want to try Naklandany hermelin, a blend of cheese, peppers, spices, garlic, and olive oil.

Parma, Italy

Italy is a beautiful country, rich with ancient cities and full of beautiful beaches. If you want a fun escape from Italy, Parma will not disappoint.

Parma is a real place for food lovers, with lots of delicious food to try. Once in Parma be sure to try Bollito Ripieno, this dish is made with a mixture of ginger, nutmeg, cheese, sauce, eggs, and cloves. Next, you take a card or chicken, set it aside, and boil it until cooked through, (this is really delicious for your food)!

Spalla Cotta is another delicious dish, prepared using pork shoulders, and is topped with garlic, cinnamon, nutmeg, and garlic. The meat is placed inside a cow or pig’s bladder, and is aged for several months. When the meat is cured it is burned with wine, bay leaves, and water.

To prepare your pasta you will want to try Tortelli d’erbetta. It is a type of tortelli that is filled with eggs, ricotta, parmigiano-reggiano, and spinach. And, of course, a trip to Italy would not be good without trying the famous Italian pizza.

Berlin, Germany

If Berlin is not on your bucket list it may be time for a little change! This exciting city has a lot to offer from art to music as well as, delicious food that you can try.

Tim Raue, one of Berlin’s most respected restaurants, ranked 37th in the list of the best restaurants in the world. Expect uncertain places, and other specialty foods, including prawn sashimi, crabs, and ‘Australian winter truffle and tofu,’ (Time Late 2021).

For a delicious street food, visit the Konnopke sausage. Here you will find an example of the best currywurst you have ever tasted! Konnopke’s has been run by the same family since the 1930s, (so they know a thing or two of the traditional German cuisine). What are you waiting for? Courage to line up and take part!

While in Berlin you will also want to try Königsberger Klopse, the meat of these animals is made from pork, beef, or veal, a mixture of anchovies, onions, eggs, and flour. Meatballs cooked in broth and then served with a sweet sauce of capers and lemons.

Seville, Spain

Seville Spain is a beautiful choice for a European holidays, exploring spectacular cathedrals and museums, and enjoying the spectacular atmosphere.

Serranito is best known for its Seville sandwich, made with pork belly, serrano ham, green pepper, and tomato used in a baguette. It’s a simple but delicious lunch that you won’t want to miss.

If you are looking for veggie delicacies in Seville be sure to try the espinacas con garbanzos, a mixture of spinach, peas, and spices served with a lot of crouton. To get an unforgettable seafood try Dogfish in marinade, his sand shark burns lemon, vinegar, oregano, cumin, and vinegar.

Eslava is one of the most amazing places to eat in Seville, you will find this restaurant on Plaza San Lorenzo. Make sure you get into the prize pork ribs with honey, and the delicious scallops with seaweed puree.

Bordeaux has a wide range of food options, there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from, including Symboise. Expect Michelin-star standards (but without the price tags), Symboise offers local delicious seafood, meats and vegetables, which change frequently, depending on the season.

If you are a fan of meatballs go to La Brasserie Bordelaise, here you will find the best steaks and delicious charcuterie boards – served with capers, terrine, cured meats, bread, and pickles.

No trip to France can be complete without some effort French sweet food. The White Cap-Ferret piles they just taste like cakes. These main dishes are filled with cream, including various flavors ranging from white chocolate and raspberry to Nutella, caramel salt, and vanilla.

Ljubljana is growing rapidly as a Foodie hotspot in Europe, nearby foods are similar to surrounding countries, including Hungary, Croatia, Italy, and Austria. Here you will find many delicious pasta dishes, fish dishes, and mouth-watering meat sauce.

If you like spicy, check out Slovenian cream cake, puff pastry blend, whipped cream, and custard cream.

One of the most famous restaurants in Ljubljana is Strelec, where you can find beautiful places in the city and romantic attractions. The list includes a variety of delicious foods to follow, including noodle and cuttlefish, and sea urchin purée.


Looking for the trendiest places to visit in Europe right now? Croatia is one of the most hidden gemstones you can find. Croatia has a great food culture, and Dubrovnik is one of the best places to find it. Crni Rizot (or black risotto) is a dish you should try when you are in Dubrovnik. Risotto is made of squid ink, which describes its color. Usually, the dish is also served with clams and mussels.

If you are looking for a comforting meal be sure to try Pašticada, a dish of roasted beef that is cooked slowly for several hours, along with nuts, parsley, carrots, prunes, and bacon. Pašticada is usually served with gnocchi or fresh pasta.

Looking for advanced care in Dubrovnik? Then head to Bistro Tavulin, Michelin’s star-studded restaurant. Be sure to try the octopus ragout with the undressing snails in a white sauce.
